Choose your brew. The cup keeps time.
The coffee goes down as the session does, so the passing hour is something you notice at a glance rather than something that taps you on the shoulder. Four brews, all of them poured from the toolbar.

When any brew ends, coffee rises over the page and Crème Brûlée sits with you for five minutes. Refill when you're ready, or snooze and carry on without restarting.
Your page stays visible underneath. Nothing is blocked, closed, or sent anywhere.

Meet Crème Brûlée.
She sits on ordinary web pages rather than in the browser frame, which is to say, exactly where you are already looking.
Three sizes
Small, medium, or large: 64, 88, or 116 pixels. A proper companion, or the faintest suggestion of one.
A click, a sip, a purr
Click her and she takes a sip and purrs, the whole thing synthesized on the spot. No audio files, no autoplay. She is silent until invited.

Privacy
Discreet by nature.
No backend, no analytics, no accounts. There is nowhere for anything to go.
What she keeps
Whether she is visible, her size and her spot on the page, the state of the timer, and your own quiet tally: sessions finished, minutes protected, cups emptied. All of it in local extension storage, on your machine, not synced to your account.
What she never touches
Your browsing history and the contents of your pages. She reads neither, and asks for two permissions: storage to remember the above, and alarms so a session can end on time when no page is open.

Technical notes
Brûlée Focus is a Manifest V3 extension. It requests the storage permission and runs on http and https pages so Crème Brûlée can sit beside what you are reading.
Chrome does not allow extensions to draw freely in the native tab strip, which is why she lives on the page rather than padding along your tabs.
The coffee break is a local, page-level reminder to rest. It is not a site blocker, and it never stops you browsing.

Install
Bringing her home.
She is on the Chrome Web Store, and she asks for two permissions on the way in. Four steps, and she is on every page you open.
- Open the Brûlée Focus listing on the Chrome Web Store.
- Choose Add to Chrome.
- Approve the two she asks for:

Prefer to run her from source? Turn on Developer mode at chrome://extensions, choose Load unpacked, and select the Brûlée Focus folder.
